Yesika Felix Montoya originaria del Distrito Federal, 1976; curso la carrera de Artes Visuales en la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas dentro del Programa de alta exigencia académica (PAEA) en La Academia de San Carlos, ENAP/ UNAM. Actual mente radica en la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta Jalisco donde funda durante el 2003 el Taller de Fotografía “Caja Negra”.



Es miembro del colectivo “La Malagua”, agrupación que recibió el Premio Vallarta en el área de Cultura en el 2006.


Es profesora de Arte, en la Preparatoria Regional de Puerto Vallarta de la Universidad de Guadalajara.



Ha participado en más de 30 exposiciones colectivas: México DF; Mazatlán Sinaloa, Taxco Guerrero; Guanajuato; Chicago Illinois, Milwaukee Il. y cuatro exposiciones individuales: “Animales y Calaveras” en galería Cristal en México DF, “Réquiem” en la Sala Berenice Starr dentro del Festival de las Artes de Puerto Vallarta 2004 y “Toys” dentro del festival Fotoseptiembre 2005 en La ciudad de Puerto Vallarta. Erosión Fotoseptiembre 2007 Casa Enlace Guadalajara Jalisco



Dentro de sus maestros se encuentran, Estanislao Ortiz, Laura Castañeda, Gerardo Suter, Diego Toledo, Luciano Spano.
